I have three subwoofers in my home theater, but my preamp processor only has two balanced subwoofer XLR out connections. I had another y-cable attached to one XLR output as a solution, but I could never get the bass to sound right. The output lacked punch, and the sound was not very musical. I suspected I had a phase problem between the three subs, but discovered I had a polarity problem instead. The y-cable was apparently wired wrong internally. The Vivid XLR Y-Cable solved the polarity issues and the sound is now amazing. The build quality is also top notch. Highly recommended!
