Directions for use are not very informative and I have not yet attempted to use this product. It looks and feels well made and is likely functtional.

This is a very handy tool for providing a loop back on an Electrical Ethernet circuit terminating at 10/100 mb. Though it will loop a 1000 mb path it will not provide a link due to the gigabit protocol. Overall I am happy with the plug. It will not only provide a loopback in a female connection. It has a female connection for testing cables as well. I was very happy with the price of the product as well as the timely delivery from the Computer Cable Store.

Does the job I expect. I have made my own and lost them. At least this has a chain so I can attach it to my bag.
