The adapter works! I have an old monitor with DVI-D and a new laptop HDMI. I've had no issues with the adapter. I did have to push really hard to get it plugged into my monitor, but when I did the picture came across. The image quality seems great, and there's no stripes on the screen or anything weird. This adapter is worth the price.
