Will it handle Gigabit? Yes — rated up to 1Gbps and meets or exceeds TIA/EIA 568-B.2.

Does it mount to a standard rack? This model is designed for wall mounting, not rack mounting. If you need a rack-mount version, see our 24/48/96-port Cat6 rack panels.

What termination style does it use? 110-type punch down, wired to 568-A or 568-B — both wiring codes are printed on the panel.

Will it work with Cat5e cable? Yes. Cat6 panels are backward compatible with Cat5e and Cat5 cabling; you'll just be limited to the lower category's performance.

Is it certified? UL Listed. Rack mount screws are included.

I have used a few patch panels in the past and this is a well designed, solid panel. It is easy to mount and use. The plate can be rotated 180 degrees in the mount to provide a stable base to punch down the wiring. Good product.

Solid construction, clear markings (may have been added/updated since prior review) and perfect few accessories. Wanted something for home; ran 2 Network Connections in: Living Room, Kitchen, Bedroom 1, Bedroom 2 and 4 in Loft/Office area. Easy punchdown/termination with no need to 'repunch'. Would recommend and would buy again.

I purchased two of these as the space I had to work in would not allow even a small rack. The kit seems well made and all of the connections I made worked the first time. No reworking necessary. A previous comment mentioned that it could use some cable ties. They are now included, so things are nice and tidy. The only reason that I gave it a 4 (I would have given it a 4.5 if I could) was that the punchdown block part was a little confusing. Some punchdowns come with a little black mark delineating one wire set from another. This one did not have this feature, so I had to pay extra attention to make sure that I had not missed a channel. Also, I had to figure out for myself (I searched the internet) that the wires were not grouped linearly per interface, but split 4 and 4, top and bottom per interface. Although there are some markings on the back, I had to figure it out for myself. A small instruction sheet showing the proper wiring would have been appreciated. Perhaps better markings on the back could accomplish the same thing. To sum it up, the install went very smoothly, the product feels well made and easy to handle. I would buy these again.
