Frequently asked questions
What is a Cat6A keystone jack used for?
It terminates a Cat6A network cable run into a keystone-cut wall plate, surface mount box, or patch panel, providing a fixed RJ45 port rated for Cat6A's higher bandwidth and 10 Gigabit Ethernet runs.

What's the difference between Cat6 and Cat6A keystone jacks?
Cat6A uses the same wiring but is built to a tighter performance spec, supporting full 10 Gigabit Ethernet over the standard 100-meter run length, whereas Cat6 only supports 10 Gigabit over shorter distances. Cat6A itself isn't inherently shielded — this lineup offers both unshielded (UTP) and shielded (STP) Cat6A versions.

What's the difference between the unshielded and shielded Cat6A SpeedTerm keystone jacks?
The unshielded (UTP) versions use standard twisted-pair construction. The shielded (STP) version adds a metal shield around the jack to block EMI/RFI interference, useful in electrically noisy environments or dense cable runs.

What color options are available for the Cat6A SpeedTerm keystone jack?
Black, Blue, White, and a Shielded (Silver) version.
