Radiall introduces new coaxial connectors for wireless applicationsCreated: 6/29/2010 2:21:54 PMRadiall recently added new products to its line of MML Series connectors.
The new cost-effective connector solutions include plugs, receptacles, jacks, adapters, pigtails and cable assemblies.
Coaxial cable users will benefit from the microminiature connectors by using them to link applications with Wi-Fi access points, GPS and other mobile terminals.
Two types of PCB receptacles will be featured in the MML Series. In addition, users will be able to choose among three different space-saving plugs, ranging from 1.5 mm to 2.5 mm, depending on the project.
The company also offers more flexibility for users who may need more customized options for their MML Series cable assemblies. Individuals looking to introduce microminiature connections can choose from three RoHS compliant cables of varying sizes - 1.3 mm for MML H2.5, 1.13 mm for H2.0 and 0.81 mm for MML H1.5.
With the cables meeting RoHS standards, engineers and technicians can implement the devices without worrying about compliance issues. Since 2006, companies based in Europe were restricted from using six substances, including mercury and Cadmium, in the production of electronic equipment as a way of safeguarding users and protecting the environment from potentially dangerous hazardous material, SGS relays. Many U.S.-based manufacturers have also introduced RoHS-compliant products as a way of keeping pace with their foreign competitors.
