The company created the AT-COMP150SR to provide a solution for users who need to extend their component cables, also known as YPbPr, to connect with stereo audio. The new product offers users a more cost-effective way to connect their audio systems, as the extender uses CAT5e and CAT 6 cables in place of component cables.
The products slim and compact frame is designed to blend in with a users entertainment center. Individuals will not have to worry about keeping an energy outlet available or hiding blocky wall adapters, as the item does not require a power supply.
The new extender offers users HD resolutions of up to 1080i or 720p at distances of up to 600 feet. In addition, the new line allows users to use 480i displays with 1,000 feet of cables without a negative impact on video playback.
Many homeowners are using CAT 5e and CAT 6 cables to set up their entertainment systems, as the fast copper cables provide smooth data and video transmissions with little interruption. Recently, audio/video companies unveiled a new cable standard that features CAT 6 cables instead of the current HDMI standard.
