VB552 Video/Audio Cat5 Terminal/Repeater is part of solution of ATEN's media distribution. It receives the video/audio source signal through RJ45 interface and distribute it to two vedio/audio outputs as the terminal and one RJ45 output for additional connections as a repeater. Each VB552 extends the video/audio up to 500 ft to the next either VB552 or VS1504/VS1508. Total 1500 ft can be extended through three teirs connections. VB552 has adjustable video gain and compensation control to provide the sharpest video quality possible. An IR remote control also provides on/off and video adjustment at the remote site. Two RS232 connectors on the unit provide serial connection as well. The 8 Position 8 Contact (8P8C) (often called RJ45) plugs and sockets are most regularly used as an ethernet connector. 8P8C connectors are typically used to terminate twisted pair cable.
