Low Speed Asynch Patch Panel 32 Chan. (65-96) from ComputerCableStore™. The ETS Low Speed Asynchronous Patch Panels are designed to support a variety Cisco routing products. Via 32 pair cables coming from the Cisco routers and connected in the rear of the breakout panel, the signals are directed to numbered eight-pin modular jacks. (the so-called RJ45) on the front of the panel. >br> These breakout panels, because they provide a cleaner installation, are a superior substitute for the Cisco Hydra cables (Cisco calls them Octopus cables). The Cisco cables provide a 68-pin SCSI connector at one end and 8 RJ45 modular plugs at the other end. The ETS CT-800 is a 16-port panel, with jacks numbered from 1 to 16. The CT-801, -802 and -803 are all 32 ports; the CT-801 is numbered from 1-32; the CT-802 from 33-64 and the CT-803 from 65-96. Features/AdvantagesA patch panel or patch bay, not to be confused with the jackfield, is a panel, typically rackmounted, that houses cable connections.
