DVIFO DVI-D Fiber Optic Cable 66 ft (M-M) from ComputerCableStore™. Fiber Optics based cables that exceed the performances of the copper and silver made cables. An integrated DVI-D cable solution which includes the fiber optics components built into the cable and the DVI connectors. This flavor is called DVI Fiber Optic cable and it requires a clearance of 1-1/2" wide conduit. The lengths available are 33-330 feet. These cables are for computer use only. DVI Fiber Optic Cables support resolutions up to 1920x1200. DVI, or Digital Video Interface Technology came about in 1999 as a result of the formation of the Digital Display Working Group (DDWG) a year prior. Their original mission was to create a standard digital video interface for communication between a Personal Computer and a VGA monitor. Recently, however, the consumer electronics industry began implementing DVD players, set-top boxes, televisions, and LCD/plasma monitors with DVI technology. DVI-D, or Digital Video Interface Technology Digital came about in 1999 as a result of the formation of the Digital Display Working Group (DDWG) a year prior. Their original mission was to create a standard digital video interface for communication between a Personal Computer and a VGA monitor. DVI-D will support only Digital video signals.
